Buckeye Bulletin May 2008

New MDM
Please join us in welcoming our new MDM, Marc Reid. Marc has been in the manufactured home industry all his life. He grew up around the retail side of the business. The last 10 years Marc has been a wholesale representative for one of our competitors, he managed a manufactured home subdivision and owned his own used home sales center.
Marc lives in Verrado which is located here in Buckeye. He is married and has two kids (the last one was born two weeks ago). Marc will be managing the New Mexico, Southern Arizona and Mesa markets.

CARPET CHANGES
Shaw Industries has stopped producing the SoSoft carpeting.  If you have a quote/order with that level of carpeting, you’ll need to talk with the homebuyer to select an alternate.  We have already depleted our stock of SoSoft and will not be able to get any more from the supplier.  Sorry about the inconvenience.

SITE DEVELOPMENT
Please let your Site Development Teams know that there is a set-up manual in each home that leaves our facility if they’re not already working with one.  Over the past months, we have noticed a number of revisions/additions to the standard set.  We have inserted a list of them into the current manual.  You can also find the list attached to this web site.

BROCHURES
We are currently working on producing more brochures for you.  We’ve spent some time before this printing to comparing the sales prints to the master prints for any discrepancies.  We hope we got them all, but feel free to call if you catch any that we missed.

We’re working with a new printing company, so the start up is taking longer than we had hoped.  Please be patient with us and we’ll get you stocked up on brochures as soon as we get them in.

ALTERNATE CONSTRUCTION
We are quickly approaching the cut off date for our AC approval by HUD.  Our final extension ends July 15, 2008.  If ALL of our Alternate Construction homes have not passed inspection by that date, we will lose our ability to provide our retailers with any home that falls under “Alternate Construction”.  This would include triple wide homes and anything with a hinged roof.

Again, this is a FINAL EXTENSION.  If you have a home that will require an AC inspection or a re-inspection, it would be helpful if your Site Development Team could be present at the time of the inspection.  If any issues can be corrected at the time of inspection, we would increase our chances of an approved inspection.

We’re asking you to make this a point of urgency with your Sales Teams as well as your Site Development Teams.  Thanks, in advance, for your help with this.
